It was inevitable. It is shocking. It is a fact of life. I knew I would see the day, but I didn't think it would be this soon. It's been only a year and a half since my thirtieth birthday.
And there it was, looking me down in the eye. It laughed at me, scoffed at my very existence. Then as it appeared, some of its friends popped up, also mocking me.
Age has won over youth. I am now the not so proud owner of some very silvery grey hairs.
Other than that, I'm having a fairly good hair day.

Stephen, don't sweat it, man. I started going gray about 4 years ago (be 38 this year). Embrace it and wear it like a badge of honor. Just grow a goatee and you can tell yourself you look JUST like Mike Lowell does. At least thats what I do anyway.
Besides, like I tell my wife everytime she picks on me about them. 25 years from now, I'LL look distinguished and she just look old. :)
Hehe everybody goes through that, I'm thirty one and a half now, with a few white hairs. You can always dye it but I bet the shiny grey bits blend in nicely with the rest of your hair! :D
I ain't bothered by it. Thankfully no grey hairs in the goatee (yet). Then I'd have to rename my online persona greybeard, and I'm not quite ready to do that just yet. But yeah, it's distinguishing, it's all good.
personally I like grey in guys...it makes them look distinguished, alittle wise and hot...unlike what it does for women. i.e. Mike Lowell.
Ted...if you really are saying that to her....you're gonna forfeit your right to come to Fenway bud
I've a real soft spot for salt 'n pepper hair, always have...and it's a good thing, considering how many snow-white hairs I've been seeing on myself lately.
And I like 'em just fine...except the curly snow-white ones that have been showing up in my eyebrows. *goes looking for the tweezers...*

Link broke on the earlier comment.
I saw this and thought of you ;)
I had just one white hair on my chin for the past few years (I'm 33 now) and named it "Whitey". Now that I have more I can't remember which one Whitey is and I feel just terrible about that.
