Monday Morning Quarterback

The big story about last night's game wasn't the Giants' upset or the Patriots' choke. And it certainly wasn't about how I fell asleep with less than 3 minutes to go and woke up with the TV still on and the Giants had won.

The real story here is the ridiculous change of wardrobe for Patriots coach Bill Belicheck. I mean, hello, let's stick with something that works, the gray hoodie! What's this, a tacky red hoodie with the sleeves cut off? Are you serious? With the red hoodie, you look like the Kool-Aid Man.

Bill, please stay with the gray hoodie, for all of our eyes' sake, and for your team's winning sake.
In other news, 10 days until Red Sox pitchers and catchers report for spring training.

Stephen, sorry to you and all the other Patriot fans. The Giants came to play.

And Bellicheck needs his head examined for switching the hoodie.

Is it really only 8 days? I thought it was 10.

Now I'm even happier than I was.

It is 10 - psyche!

Actually I've been busted, still looking at my January calender obviously.

Just wandered over here from Ted's blog. I am 100% with you about The Hoodie. The second I saw that atrocity, I knew Bill had screwed up the mojo. I knew it in my gut. Ya know the one other time he wore that red beast? November 2006. In the game where the Colts thoroughly embarrassed us.

Hi Dawn! I had the same feeling, but I don't know if it was his doing, the League might have made him since it has a XLII logo on the sleeve.

Quoth the raven, nevermore.

Stephen, I can't believe you'd try to slip one by me like that.

And if I had to guess, he had to wear the hoodie; the NFL is a tad anal about stuff like that.

Two thoughts:

1. So they couldn't whip-stitch that patch onto any sweatshirt? It had to be *that* one?

2. I still point the finger at Bill Polian if it was indeed a league decision that it had to be the *red* hoodie. After all, who is on the committee?

Right, it couldn't have been all that hard to stitch it on the usual hoodie. Ah well, shoulda, woulda, coulda. I'm ready for some baseball already...
